Text:

Midway Presbyterian Church, named because of its location halfway between Salem and Williamsburg Churches, traces its beginning to 180 I, when services were being held under a brush arbor. The earliest building was erected in 1802, and the Rev. G. C. McWhorter delivered the first sermon on January 10, 1803. The present structure was built in 1850.
