This family cemetery was located near the Tutt home. Among the seven graves are those of lieutenant Richard Tun, born in Culpeper County, Virginia, 1749, died in Edgefield, 1807, and his son-in-law, Matthew Mims (l7~1848), clerk of court, 1814. Richard Tut! settled near Liberty Hill before the Revolution and later served in Edgefield as village surgeon and justice of the peace.
