Text:

The Quattlebaums operated a sawmill, flour mill, and rifle factory near here. The mills were powered by Lightwood Knot Creek. The sawmill had a turbine wheel and circular saw. The rifle factory, founded by Paul´s father John (1774-1853), was leased to the Confederate government to make percussion rifles
